About Me

I’m Ares Nikolas Valdiviezo, a writer and filmmaker from Council Bluffs, Iowa.

My work is drawn to obsession, desire, and transformation. Stories that expose what lives beneath the surface. I write across screenwriting, poetry, and film with an emphasis on atmosphere, tension, and emotional intensity.

I’m currently studying Film and Psychology at the University of Michigan. My screenplay Stealing Venus received multiple Hopwood Awards, including second place for screenplay and the Kasdan Scholarship in Creative Writing.
